I did a little scuba diving under an old bridge that was a popular swimming hole between the 40s - 70s. Some people still swim it, but not nearly as much as they used to (a park opened close by and became the main swimming hole for the area). I did most of my detecting with my eyeballs. :D I fan cracks and potholes out carefully, making sure not to fan so hard that the metal objects come out...just the sand and gravel. It is a very productive method and can be better than a detector in some places. I did also use a little Vibra-Tector 730, but that was just on 1 clad dime. All the finds are shown at the end of the vid.

Nice finds, glad you got out! :occasion14:

Sounds like a great spot, and that's an interesting ring find. Congrats on what had to be a fun outing! :occasion14:

Thanks Hawks88, gold boy, Professor of Engineering and Javadroid! It was definitely a fun little hunt. I'm pretty sure with all the wheaties that silver has to pop out of the site sooner or later. Maybe next time.

Excellent hunt

Thanks Relicific. To me, any hunt is a good hunt.

Here in FL, subtropical storm Alberto is on top of us and I'm thinking about hunting during it. I think I have a problem. :D
