Score at the dump

I went to my bank this morning to dump my discards into the coin machine. Before I started pouring I noticed a couple of coins bouncing around in the spinner. I notified the bank employee in charge of the machine and asked if she would remove them so they wouldn't jam the machine. When she opened the lid she said "they're foreign". I asked if I could have them and she said "sure" and handed me two British pounds, one 1983 and one 2005. Not as exciting as gold or silver, sure, but these are my first pounds and I was very excited!

Nice finds. Foreign coins are some of my favorite finds. GMan started a list in 2009 of foreign finds. I don't know that it was ever completed, because it got so overwhelming, but it was impressive what TNet members had found from all over the world.
