Took a 30min drive to a high school, place was built about 1900. I went after dinner and was lucky no games were going on.
everything here was dug within 2 hours. The 45P war nickel was only 4 inches down, the 1921 buffalo was about 6"
im a bit confused on what looks like a gold ring, it was about 5" down, but shows no rust or flaking or anything, its threaded on the inside so im wondering if its some sort of 2piece deal, a washer from a lawnmower or what :dontknow: its all one color (gold) so ill have to get it tested sometime. the other ring is 925 with a saphire stone. so this ring and the war nickel sooths my silver fix for the day. there is a lot of area to cover as you can see, so a few more trips back here should produce a few more good keepers.
Enjoy the pics,

Have you checked the back of the buffalo for a mint mark? it will be at the bottom back side under the E AN C in Five cent.. if there is one it should be an S.. if so that nickel is worth some money

Could the threaded gold ring be a watch bezel?
well, the other side is flat, so you may have come up with a good guess.....would that have been made of gold? this thing was about 5inches down, it had to take some time to get down that far, and wouldnt the weather eat it up a bit if it was plated?
like i said, ill have to get it scratch tested. maybe i scored....maybe i didnt, wont know till its tested.
thank you,
