I think I am looking in the wrong places. I am always afraid to dig in public places like school yards for fear I will be taken to jail for damage to public property. Your hunt was very successful. Congratulations..... Ralph

Love those chewed up zincolns :D Nice haul of clad and bracelet find. Maybe she will settle for that on Valentines day ;D

That is a very nice charm, I think MEX is .925 silver from Mexico.

"Public Place" does not necessarily mean you can detect it freely. Check with your local law enforcement or look at your local ordinances and make sure of the laws, if any, that govern it. More than likely, you are good to go. But some towns and cities do require permits that may be free of charge or available for a small fee. One local park in my area requires a permit... all the others ones do not. The permit is free. Just check to make sure and NEVER assume that a public place means you have free reign.

Good luck!

I'm trying to arrange a summer fishing trip again to Boulder Junction. A "guys trip" with my two brothers and two of our sons. Only I detect, but I have an extra detector too. I'll keep you posted Chris. Save a few beers muskies for us.

wish my wife liked going detecting with me.

Why not just get her something easy to use like an ACE 250 & take her to a beach where it's easy to dig & get her broke in that way? A day at the beach..

I didn't always like going out with him........I started off going scouting with him going for rides and walks in the woods, that was fun. Then, I'd go along and follow him around for awhile before I got bored and I'd go read a book. We've been to a few places that were LOADED with clad so I said I would help him dig. He'd find them with his detector and I'd take a pinpointer and dig the stuff up. He got me my ACE250 not this Christmas but the one before and I find my own stuff now! I still don't put in as much time as he does, but it's something fun we can do together!
