Well it's been a while since I've posted here, was a terrible last year.
In May 2009 we had a house fire, long story, but it was arson caused by some we know!
The person broke into the house, unplugged items, then left, possible when I came home & our neighbor described this person to the T & the cops said they would bring in the witness, but many months later still have done nothing!!!
Enough on that nightmare, the Good Lord was gracious to us, getting back on track!

Well here we are almost a year later & ready to say good bye to the Great White North, down to the warmer climate of the Lower Mainland BC.

Which brings me to the learning curve. As some of you may know I have a GTI 2500 & also a Whites GTI( I like to be open mined with choices), I was up in the Yukon trying my best to cope with the Iron/hot rocks, but like many know the frustration working detectors in terribly bad grounds.
Mean time I've been reading lots of posts & articles on various detectors, I keep coming back to the Infinium!
We will be moving down to area's that have gold in them thar hills & the many beaches salt & fresh water. Well you may know already where I'm going with this & I guess I'm looking for that final nudge from those who know about the Infinium.
I believe it's time for me to graduate metal detecting school of hard knocks & get me self one these machines, a pulse that is, gold nuggets & more gold rings!

So with all that said, please twist my arm & convince me to buy one, just don't tell my wify!

I would also like to say a special thank you thank you to John in Edmonton for all the, inspiration, dedication & all the wealth of knowledge brought to this great hobby. Even through the harsh winter detecting( very few in these forums even dare to compare to this kind of winter detecting)

If Garrett is reading this post, I say give John the next detector in line, he has definitely earned it, thanks John! :icon_thumright:

To all the others, thank you for all the nuggets of great info you've shared, helping others is the best gift you can give.

This is a great forum, with great people, God bless you all,

David from GP Alberta

David if you are stuck with minerized ground and need to hunt there, the Infinium LS will do the job. I do not like to do all that digging with my bad back so I like more disc. With the two tone signals from the Infinium you can at least choose to dig or not. Finding gold rings means you will have to use lower disc to find pull tabs too. But you have to dig if you are going to find anything. The only other detector I could suggest is a higher priced PI made my Minelab. But the Infinium is equal to these in my book with less price.

Good Luck,
Sandman
