School find

The local elementry School 2 blocks from my house is having its playgrounds and green areas torn up
and I thought this might be a good oppertunity for some metal detecting.
The school dates from the 1940-1950 era and I was expecting to find some goodies but so far I have not done so well, a few modern coins, a 1958 wheat penny and this coin.
Any Tnetters who might know what this is please feel free to post their thoughts.

Old Chinese cash coin, how old not sure ?

Looks like a early chinese coin. Possibly 1800's not sure but it looks like there could be a little more history to that area. You might want to check that out and hit that spot until they do what they have planned for it. Nice find!!
