i was recently out metal detecting and found this token. on the front at the top it says 5 cents, Harkert cigar co's highest grade, Davenport cigars. then on the back at the top it says three eyes 1912 schedule. then a bunch of dates and three cities peoria, decatur and bloomington. at the very bottom it says davenport at home.

what is exactly, and is it worth anything.

Schon--I can't tell you how much, but to several groups of collectors, it would be worth a bit. It is a schedule for the 1912 season of the Illinois-Indiana-Iowa baseball minor league, the "Three-Eye" league. It was a give-away by the Harkert Cigar Company to promote its products - not a trade token as such, but trade token collectors would be interested, as would cigar and tobacciana and baseball collectors.
John in the Great 208 (the other one of those pesky "I" states)

After looking on the internet for awhile, i tracked down an auction company that had sold one in 2007. At that time they sold it for $80.00. Not too bad for something i pulled out of the ground for fun.
