another "what is it?" its a decoritive brass scale with 12 teardrop shaped cut crystals hanging from 12 small round crystals and two much larger crystals in the main stem. on the bottom is stamped "accurate casting A 4104" im thinking the A 4104 is pretty much a genaric base that will fit many other items that they made. i have found a lot of A.C. lamps and candleabras but nothing even remotely close to this scale. any ideas?

Its a very nice table top accent. I dont think it was ever used. Is it solid brass?

im not sure if its solid brass or not. its heavy and a magnet is not attracted to it.

At many court houses there is a Scales of Justice being held by Lady Liberty wearing a blindfold signifying that "Justice is blind". But there are also just plain scales representing the same. This one no doubt with all the boubles is merely decorative. Monty

That's very decorative. :icon_thumleft:

I wonder how many M'D'ers have discovered bits of a broken one and tried to pin down the origin :laughing7:
