SC flat button, half dime and more

This site is one we dream about! Over the last couple months we have recovered some really great finds. Went back yesterday afternoon and although we had to try to stay out of the way of the bulldozer and dump trucks we still managed to find some cool relics. Found my first South Carolina flat button! Back Mark is Young Smith and co. New York. Found a few more buttons, a musket ball, another teatfire cartridge (I know what these are now thanks to Cannonball Guy!), a buckle, and a few other relics. My buddy cbxjon also found some great finds I'm sure he will post later. The half dime I found last week the same day I dug the CSA button, but in my excitement over the buttons failed to post it! Cant wait to see what else will come from this site! Thanks for looking and hope everyone has a great day!

Thanks! Thought at first it was 1865 which I think is a key date (?) But turns out 1865 didn't have arrows at the date which means its 1855. I dont find many coins so I was excited when this one popped out! Thanks again for the reply

Thanks Tom. This site is really the best site we've found...we've pulled close to 20 military buttons from it so far!! And this is the same site that produced my slave tag! Unfortunately a lot of the area is getting ready to be covered with crushed asphalt so we're hitting it every chance we get...we just have to keep from being run over by the bulldozer!!! Yes treblehunter we are pressed for time. A lot of the site will soon be covered with crushed asphalt. Hit it again yesterday for a short hunt...did find a few things but nothing worth posting. We'll keep at it until they cover it! Thanks
