:o A tick! :o
I found this on my stomach tonight, after a short evening hunt.
Just a warning for everyone who hunts in the woods and fields.
Either use a repelant, or make sure you check yourself.
I almost didn't even notice it.
Just by a fluke chance, I rubbed my stomach and noticed a little bump.
Definately made me re-think my future methods today.
It's that time of year. H.H.

Hello did you give him a name before you flush him down the toilet....Matt

Ok ewww....

I hope you got the whole thing out....

Ewww...

Keep @ It and HH!!

MAN!! That is ugly!! So... did you dig up anything good? Pics? :laughing3:

Thanks for the heads up. That's not pretty.

Nice find!! Thanks for the reminder.
I'm already using repellant on my boots/shoes and lower pants legs with the cuffs inside my socks.
But I may even start spraying even more after seeing that "bugger"!
I'd definitely check that out with a doctor with all that redness.
Hopefully, your post with help all of us to be a little more cautious.

That's my sole reason for posting it. If I can warn, or help anybody, to be more preventative, then I feel like I did the right thing.
I know lots of us just go out Gung-Ho, when we go out tectin'. Just a detector, a pouch, and a digger.
But It could really pay off someday, to make sure you're carrying a small safety kit, snake-bite kit, Repelants, cell phone, etc.
Cause I know some of us go to some seriously remote places, and if anything happened to us, it could be days before anyone found us! If ever.

you got that right! i looking into the proper way to take compass readings. sometimes im out in the middle of the woods for hours just looking down. it is possible to get discombobulated. willy.

Good post, it's getting to that time of the year again. Nasty looking guy

That is definately not a good thing........! Looks like your gonna have to heat up thee old buck knife and burn that sucker off!

Time for some bug spray........Take care! Have that checked out.......... :o

buzzard king

we found that once u find them embedded, if u spray on some WD 40 and let it set for about 5 mins.......................then u can just pull them right off

works great on dogs and cats as well.
