I don't normally do estate "tag" sales but last week there was one very close to my office that started right around the time I head out for lunch so I decided to pop in and see what they had. I can usually learn something useful even if I don't buy anything. The former resident of this house was BIG into film photography and the estate sale people had put pretty reasonable prices on the photo equipment. I bought a bunch of stuff that I paid almost $160 for. Below are photos with a sampling of what I got:

This is a studio flash unit in great shape. Should be able to get $50 to $100 for it.

This is called a "cold light head" for an enlarger. I have already sold it for $100 (but I think I screwed up my ebay listing and sold it cheaper than I intended to).

This is a film developing tank. Already sold for $25. I have another I haven't listed yet and a smaller, single reel tank I also haven't listed yet.

This is a reel for developing film. I bought 7 of these. I already sold one for $10.

I have a bunch of other stuff I haven't taken pictures of yet including 3 enlarger lenses, an enlarger easel, 2 bulk film loaders, 2 sets of enlarger filters, a couple of hard cover manuals for specific brands of camera and some other stuff I can't even remember at the moment. I think I will make out OK on this deal!

I love to find estate sales with items like this. The sellers almost never have any idea what it's worth so the sale can be a gold mine for someone willing to buy the unusual items.

Good finds! When I saw the title of this thread, I had no choice but to reply.

Nice finds! That film developing tank would make a nice steampunk sort of martini shaker, lol.
