Our luck changed, as we arrived at the field today, they were rolling the disced soil flat.:icon_thumright: This increased my depth by about 25% & not so far off how it was after the harvest.
Cru'dad left a little early but I did 4 hours 15 minutes finishing with another rare appearance from Land-mag.:laughing7:

We knew it was only a metter of time until the hammered's gave themselves up & today I got 3:headbang:
2 Edward I Pennies
Threefarthing dated 157? Lizzy I - My first of this coin & in great condition as well.8-)
Jetton
2 Scrappies
Smashed Victorian Silver Thimble
17th C Clothes Fastener
18th C Clog Clasp
Large Tudor Spectacle with remains of iron pin

Dad got the best button of the day (I love it), it's an openwork Tudor (16th C) Button, & we need this type!:hello2:

Alas, I have to wait until next Wednesday. I will admit though, that it is nice to wonder what I will find instead of wondering if I will find anything. I am sure you step into this field and wonder what is in store for you. Great saves! Dig on!!

Congrats on the Silvers, WITH a first ! Awesome.

That is the coolest button, I might have thought bell of some sort, at least I admited it.

Yes, this field is exciting. We have had 1 bit of Bronze age, 1 Iron Age, several Roman, several Saxon, lots of Medieval & plenty of modern. Anything, really can happen on this one!
