Yesterday was a family day, so today was our only option & the heavens opened & the rain kept coming. We started in the rain & finished when the sleat started & we were soaked through to the skin.(3hrs 15mins) We haven't been this wet & cold for a long while ::) However, at least we were finding stuff, although no Saxon today :P

2 Roman Coins
1817 Sixpence
4 Jettons
Tudor acorn leather mount
Tudor Belt Guide
Rose Farthing
My best find a Charles I (circa 1640s) Trade Weight (hard to find) :icon_thumright:

Dad got the star find - Circa 14th C Heraldic Horse Harness Pendant with white enamel Lion & green leaf behind :headbang:

Worth the soaking :icon_thumleft: Love the pendant :headbang:

Your below average surpasses what the majority of us would consider a banner day!!! :notworthy: I am interested on the caliber of the lead bullet and musket ball, plus the lead fishing weight (that is what I think it looks like) is very interesting. Well done!!

Fully agree with Shaun. Super pendant ! :headbang: Thought there was no way you would go in this weather. Should have known better of course!! :coffee2:

No idea on the bullet but its real small. There is a pistol shot & a larger caliber musket ball, I never bother measuring them, I have too many. Its a lead weight, fishing or net weight is possible.

Nice group of finds. I love the pendant.

Me too, these are a rare find & highly collectable, plus its a type we don't have :icon_thumright:

I thought l was keen. but when l saw the rain, l opted to go see my grandsons play their football match, (they both play in the same team). but hey, l can go detecting every day. Looks like you made the best of it though . lots of good items there . cheers. Hutch.

another very nice hunt Cru!

Nice haul .... again! At least you dug silver although not hammered. Good job on the trade weight too. I found a couple of those 5 years ago at 2 different sites here in Virginia. Is there any way to determine which King George these date back to? Could be anywhere from 1714 to 1820. Does that hallmark provide a clue? Thanks.

This GR is associated with the Act of 1795, however some of these marks were applied by the makers of the weights in order to make them look official. Are there any other marks other than the Crown over GR?

Nice finds Cru, especially the weight. Have a few but they are always welcome!
