Don't know which was worse, the heat or the bugs. I did make it out for a few hours.

Started off finding a kids junker ring, looked good at first in the hole. Found a few wheats then found a 1908 IH. Had to work for the IH, was laying below a root about 3" around about 8" down.
After the IH found a couple more wheats (5 total for the day) then found the mystery brass piece. I'm thinking it's a candle holder?

No guess on the ID but congrats on the IH and wheats.

Maybe a piece to a candle holder,vanzutphen

Here's a couple more pics of the mystery piece/ candle holder. The brass bell on left was a surface find, found at the same property as the other piece a couple months ago.
Both pieces have the same design etched in them so thinking they were both part of some set.
I was thinking the piece on right was a candle holder. How small did they make spittoons? Could the piece on right be a spittoon?

Nice little Indian DS. I have no idea on the candle holder... my guess is urn for small pet ashes.... but that's just the way I think! GL&HH.

CT- the owner of this property loved her cats. I hear when the elderly women passed they found dead cats in the house.

I think your correct on the candle holder idea, with the other fluted piece being the candle snuffer. Most mantle-top candle holders come in sets of two (?) so there is another one out there, (in my humble opinion.) Really cool finds, congrats! Sub 8-)

Nice Indian  my mother told me they used to call them golden penny's ,that one sure is:headbang: I'd say part of a candleholder:icon_scratch:

Sub-the piece on left is a bell.

Nice finds! Congrats! Your IH appears gold in the pic.

Maybe the bell thing goes on top the vase thing?

Pretty sure the piece on right is not a candle holder but, a small Bud vase from India. The boy found a brass bottle opener/hammer combo last year and has the same design on it as this piece. And after checking out Bud vases online I found a few very similar to this piece.

Here's the kid's brass bottle opener/ hammer.

Cool finds, the little hammer thing is interesting

Can you put something next to it for scale, I think your probably right candlestick holder. All those pieces are so pretty, I love the ornate design on all that stuff.
That hammer is beyond cool, love the ornateness!
Congrats, great finds all of them!

Cool finds, love finding indians!
