Beautiful Save Brother ! That missing seat can be re caned for sure( especially out your way). You might want to bring it to an
Amish Community - they keep alive a knowledge of rare hand crafted work like that .

(There is an aggressive collector market for certain antique children's furniture )

that is awesome!!! glad you rescued it.. good job by you!

I saw one once on a TV show. Good grab!

The little iron wheels are just adorable ! What a find !

Congrats on saving a beautiful piece of woodworking art! Please restore it and and show it off as the lovely piece of craftsmanship that it is.

Now all you need is a baby...:tongue3:

I have 1 of those digger she would break it in a sec

Wow what a nice piece.

that is beautiful and a nice save

That old child chair could be restored very easily. It then should bring quite a nice profit.

Wow! I would take that to an antique dealer and get it appraised to include details on it. Is there a maker's mark/name on it? What idiot would pitch that? I've never seen one like that.

Nice piece! Glad to see there are other curb hunters out there!

After cleaning and going over the chair I found a brass tag with a patent Date of may 20 1903 0r 1909 last number is poorly struck

That type of seat is relatively easy to re-do, as it's not the type that gets woven piece by piece. You buy pre-woven cane webbing and the spline that gets tapped in around the edge.

That is a great save!!! :occasion14:

Crazy, that's probably $300-$400 at a good auction. What's with people!?

What a great looking piece. Some people just don't know what they have, & the garbage is an easy fix for them.

What a beautiful chair, and a fantastic save.

Well done.
