A guy I work with told me he had some property that at one time had an old homesite on it. It was torn down about45 years ago. This is a list of what we found.
tractor seat
plow point (DIXIE: 69541 imprinted on the side.)
double bit axe head w/ piece of wedge still in handle slot
single bit axe head
draw knife
shovel head
gear off of a piece of farm machinery
wedge
sickle tooth
bung off of a metal drum
piece of cast iron (Vulcan No.11 imprinted on it.)
6" piece of copper tubing
ring off of a bridle or saddle.
6 nails
piece of pottery
neck off of a glass bottle
a loop of metal that went around a wagon wheel (Ithink) measures 48" in diameter
plus other bits and pieces of metal that I don't know what they are.
I have pictures, but, I'm a little embarrassed to say, I can"t quite figure out how to get them to post. If anyone can help me out here let me know RON
