Saturday/Sunday digs in West Michigan 1/12/13/2013 inc. SILVER!

Hey all -

anytime you (*me*) can get out and dig in the middle of January in soft digable ground w/o freezing your buns off here in Michigan - is a GREAT thing!

Hit an old school site Sat and an old home-site today (Sun) and here's the results from the 2 hunts.

44 pennies (found 1 pocket spill with 25 in the hole)!
1 nickel
9 clad dimes
7 clad quarters
1 chucky cheese token (1999)
1 SILVER Roosie 1953D
1 Bulova watch T4 (1994)
1 Tootsie toy car = Porsche
1 old suspender buckle/clip
1 brass hinge
1 thermostat to an old car (made in USA 1961)
1 brass finial to a curtain rod or the like
and some misc. items as shown!

Cool finds, I live in Michigan too, I got out today and yesterday as well! Did pretty good yesterday, I got a a very thin silver necklace, and a sliver religious token thing.

For January 12th in Michigan and you had digable ground and you did not have to use a propane heater on the ground for 4 hours to thaw it well, I would say you had a great day!.........63bkpkr

I hear that! Usually I can build an ice skating rink in my back yard at this time of year and it would stay for at least another month & a 1/2!!

As I've been saying for yrs now = "come on global warming"!!
