Saturday Hunt nets a relic first and gets me into the 1800's for 2012
I went out Saturday to try a coulple of spots in the Lake Masabesic region of New Hampshire.the first spot, which was near a boat launch wasn't very productive(a little clad, and a couple of fishing weights).I then tried a spot near where my kids play baseball.Things got a little better for me.The bests items I found were:a croatal bell with the clanger still functional(my first ever).Ive been wanting to find one for a long time.My next find highlight was an 1896 Indian Head Cent.(oldest coin for me this year so far).I also managed four wheat pennies(20,41,58,and one so crudded up,I'm still trying to clean it up enough to get a date.I managed one canadian penny(72) also. Some of the other interesting finds were 2 shell casings,3 fishing weights,a Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium Fob, a Blue Hotwheel car body, and $3.36 in clad.
