I wentbout hunting saturday morning to a school that was having some new baseball fields put in the school was built on a high bluff over looking sunfish creek when the school was under construction about 8 years ago I found a nice full groove axe and alot of points.anyway I was talking to my brother and he told me I should check out the new fields there putting in. so I finally made my way down there to check it out and I am gld I did the flintridge point looks to be a hopewell point. the big beavertail adena has a impact fracture toward the tip. the little triangle I just about stepped on it. I really like the flintridge hafted scraper. it turned out to be a good hunt.

Nice artifacts! I wish I could find that much in one day. You said you were near sunfish creek. I live in Adams County, Ohio and if I am not mistaken Route 32 crosses sunfish creek in pike county. So you must be between me and Steve V? Thanks Keith.

Thanks for the comments guys. yeah keith I found these in Pike County off State Route 124 sunfish creek runs right down to route 32 and dumps in the scioto river on route 104. theres some nice spots to hunt in western pike county. I dont hunt down that way as much anymore living in northern Ross County keeps me busy with so many spots up here to hunt and they plow alot more ground .

Yes, I would agree there are alot more plowed spots to hunt in Ross county. I have never been down 104 on the west side of the river. A friend of mine opened a camping grounds at Bear Lake a couple of years ago, but I have not made it out there yet. It was way to hot to camp this summer! The farm I hunt is west of there along Brush Creek about a mile north of the Ohio. Thanks for the info and stay warm. Keith.

That Boyle chert Adena is pretty nice! Thanks for sharing.

Glad you went down to the school. Had a friend report they found some artifacts when they were building a school here and they panicked thinking construction would stop. Just a joke :laughing7:
I like that Adena. They have the neatest bases.
Happy Holidays

I have to agree with Chuck, that Boyle Chert Adena is one very sweet point. I love that material with all of the fossil inclusions in it and I have Adena that could almost be a twin to yours. Very nice finds choo. Congrats!!

Here's mine. The coloring doesn't show up well in this picture but it's almost identical to yours.
