We’re headed to Sanibel,FL tomorrow for a weeks long vacation. Wish BigWaveDave still lived locally, my twin brother and I brought our AT Max’s along with the stock and Reaper coil. If anyones local and wants to hook up detecting let me know, then when you come to Arkansas and want to do some Civil War hunting let me know. Gotta be after September since Aquachigger is supposed to meet up with us here on his way out west.

Good Luck there!
I went to Captiva in December with my Excal, recently replenished beach. Did not detect anything. Not a coin, no sinkers, nothing at all. I have never experienced that before on any detecting trip. Of course I tested with sample items, but found nothing.
I hope you have better luck!

Yeah we’ve had a condo there since the early 90’s and. They occasionally drag it, we usually detect around the beaches there or go other places off the island. It’s one of them places where we usually just take them in case we see something on the way there or back. Last time we went we found an old plantation style home in Georgia a family let us detect. Of course we bought some fruit off them so they couldn’t resist😂

Been there a few times, Sanibel Isle is a beautiful place.
It really is. My parents took us there as kids, then bought a condo there in the early 90’s and we went every year, then when dad passed away mom sold it, so this will be the first time she’s been back since dad passed away in 2014, and the first time I’ve been on a vacation since I broke my back and had to have a knee replacement

Currently going through Alabama right now. On the way back or somewhere in Florida if someone wants to share a spot we’d be glad to take you on some of our new Civil War permissions we’ve gotten along with others we’d had for years in Arkansas. Just give me a holler, would even be able to get you room and board at the newly remodeled 1886 Chester Hotel and tour two old ghost towns, I’ve got exclusive permission to

Well after settling down the first evening and sitting on our dock on the Catoosahatchie River, I’m having second thoughts about getting in the water here off our dock and go somewhere else. With that being said, I’m going to get me a snorkel, I’ve got my dive goggles, but snorkel was crushed. I dive frequently with the AT Max and just haven’t done any through here yet. Many years ago I did out here and through Fort Myers. Needless to say, looking at me, under my eyes, I’m worn out bigger than crap.
