Hey everyone, went out Sunday and had a good day. I found this really nice 1891 seated dime in front of a old foundation. I think it was a old store at one time but don't know. The back off the wall was the only sign left that something was there. It was all solid blocks for the foundation. So I know it was old. It is close to a old grove I'm working right now. It was on the edge of the woods off a main road.

Don't know what it was but glad the dime was there. It was only 1 inch deep and rang so loud I thought it was a clad dime. But it surprised me like they seem to do.

Hope you like it.

Very nice find. Only seated I have found is part of a toilet lid.

Did you do research to find this place or just cruise around and say 'this looks like an old place'?

Nice! Wish I could find some seated silvers.

SWEET!!! Seateds are soooooooo cool to find! Or, at least I hear! Man I need to find one of those before the end of the year!

Thanks everyone, Sorry I haven't been quicker and on the forum more lately. I have been working at night alot and have been sleeping or dead in the day.

I new about this spot for close to a couple years. I drove by it all the time to a old park I know of. The park was so good to me for a long time that I never stopped to hit this old grove. It's right along a side walk with a ten foot wall that borders it. So you are above the street and all the people walking on the side walk.

Well the park finally got slow so we stopped to hit it. I have to be somewhat discreet on here or people may trace it back. But it has been producing pretty well the last 4 or 5 trips. This whole area is really old. What I do is I like to venture around and see what I can find.

That's how this seated popped up. Me and my brother were walking in the woods near the grove and there was a wall in the woods behind a old house before. Part of a old store foundation I think. And bam as soon as I hit the front of were this building would have been this nice dime popped out.

These are nice to find. Wish I knew the seated dime to seated quarter ratio is. I'd say about 20 to 1.

Thanks for looking Jer
