I went out today hunting. I found quite a few things but I thought this was interesting. Larson sent me some artifacts a couple of months ago. I went out today and found one just like the one he sent me. Larson is from N Dakota and I live in N Georgia. I found the black one and he sent me the gray one. I thought it was broke till I looked at his. Both are flat on the back I guess you could say snapped. Hope you see the same design as I do. Mine is kinda hard to see cause it is black. Any way I just wonder how they knew to make the same tool seeing it is so far away? Thanks, rock

They did not know to make the same thing. They never had contact. It was just a Rock thing. That is what worked with the material you had. We have often wondered on some sites that only produce one type of point if that is all they knew how to make or is that the style that was working for the time. Yours could be 10,000 years old and his be 500 or visa versa.

Agree with TN.....perhaps it is possible that the "technology" is built into the material. For example....if you give 10,000 people 10,000 pieces of flint and ask them to come up with their best tool and give them 10,000 years to accomplish the task....odds are the tools would be very similiar in the end.

Ok this is really weird. No one ever agrees with me!!! hahaha  Thanks !!!

Now that makes sense. Could of been a defect in the stone and they worked around it.
