Hello all! First post here. I've been lurking and enjoy it here so I figured it's about time I join in!
I found what I believe is a saloon token, but I really can't find out much information about it at all. This was found in St. Paul, MN where a man by the name of Samuel Fleischer got his liquor license in 1915 for property located at 477 West Seventh Street in St. Paul. That's all I know!

Anyone know more about this or what it could be worth?

Thanks in advance!

Without knowing more about the story, the old saying "it's worth whatever someone is willing to pay" seems to fit in this case. Find the right local collector and you might get $20. Otherwise, seems like it will be just a cool piece for you to have. I'm totally speculating though.

The value of this token is mainly in the history of the piece - dollar-wise, "maverick" tokens, those without town and state, even with good attributions like yours, usually do not bring very much. Especially from large towns in the midwest. The reason is that collectors of trade tokens tend to specialize in one or two states, and there are so many tokens "out there" that they tend to put their money in higher-end pieces like fully-identified small town tokens. Nonetheless, if you can find the right collector, like Custom says, you might be able to swap this for a twenty.

I'd recommend you post a higher-resolution pic on www.tokencatalog.com for the general betterment of the world. If you don't want to go through the bit of a hassle to do that, I'd be happy to do it for you with your permission. What is the diameter of this token?
