Salvation Army find - Clinometer
I stopped by the Salvation Army today to pick up a picture frame and saw this old box with an oddball thing inside that I had no clue what it was. It just came in and wasn't priced so I offered $3.00 and they took it. I figured the old dovetail wooden box was worth that much. The neat latches look pretty old to me. Maybe early 1900's? The guy working there said it was a tool for measuring slopes. It still has the original instructions and labels on the box.
I saw some on Ebay, but none were this old or this style.
*Any ideas how old it is?
*How much it's worth?
Here is the info I see on it.
