Saw a guy in the park next to my house metal detecting. Turns out it was part of an art scholarship where he would make something with what he found. All he found was some bottle caps. So I invited him to the front yard of my house 100 feet away. Within an hour he found some pennies from before WW I, a 1913 Mercury head dime and best of all a 19th Century silver dollar that had been shot by a bullet.
He said he had only scratched the surface.
The neighbohood kids loved it and so did their parents. I'm stoked! I want a metal detector and to learn how to use it. hopefrully I can achieve both goals here.
