Today was too nice of a day to stay around the house so I decided to try the RV park private beach. It has been a month an a half since I was last there. Right inside the gate first beep I found:
1 Sacagavea dollar thats the second in a week.
Since it was 80 degrees and the water level was down I decide to wade out to my knees since I hadn't done that last time. I found about $3.00 in clad. Was disappointed I wasn't finding any jewelry but I caught myself going out a little far and came back in to shore, I surely didn't want to drop my EX 2 in the water.
The beach sand only gave up a couple of pennies so I went to the grassy areas. I still couldn't believe that no one drops jewelry around here. The girl at the desk told me I was the only one that had ever asked her to detect here (that was my first visit). I found several more clad and finally got a silver hit it is a sterling silver ring with a silver teddy bear and a turquoise stone for his belly (.925 inside). That find made me happy some one of these days I'll find something GOLD....I hope!
Here are my other finds:
1. 1945 wheatie
29 clad pennies
9 nickels 1963-2002
18 dimes 1967-2000
10 quarters 1974-2002
This was a bigrig day for me. I hope to hit it once more before they close on the 17th, I didn't get to much of the grassy area detected. HH
