Hi guys!
I have this thing now on my computer desk and I cannot think for the life of me what in the heck it is. surely someone has an idea?
I found it near an old road in a wooded "off the beaten path" part of the Ozarks. The vicinity was Osage Beach, MO. Probably about 1/2 mile from Lake of the Ozarks, on the side of an old gravel road. It was about 100' from the remnants of an old cellar that was carved into a hillside which was used to store canned food - as evidenced by the dozens of broken mason jars inside.
the item was half buried. The area had recently received tons of rain.
The item itself is solid, one piece of iron and covered with rust. The hole in the top of it is irregular shaped and is very rough, though hard to tell if it is that way because of rust, or due to poor drilling. the item varies in thickness from about 1/2" thick on each end to about 3/4" thich where the cross piece is. there are no visible markings.
Any ideas?
