Рукоять от трости , зонта или шпаги ?

Добрый день Уважаемые форумчани! Нашла такую вещь. Прошу помощи в определении! Рукоять сделана из слоновой кости или моржового бивня , есть вырезанные вензеля , и кованный штифт с резьбой. Навершие срезанное . Вензель похож на вензеля студенческих братств Германии.

Based on the machine-made iron screw in the base, I'm thinking it's a fairly modern piece, likely mid-20thc.
Unfortunately, I have no idea what the carving represents.

Looks like someone was making a walking cane handle. The ivory appears to be somewhat old or it has been stressed with heat to cause the cracking in the bone.

Not sure what the question is here. That said, the design looks floral with leaves and stalks. If this is similar to German fraternities - that would be curious.

Looks like the things Ice fishermen use to pull themselves out of the water if they fall through the ice. Two of them are carried on a rope hung around the neck. They are jabbed in the ice to pull yourself out of the water. If it was walrus ivory, I could see them being carved by an Eskimo. Just a wag though.

Google "ivory" carved handle and came up with… a parasol handle shown in the 2 photos. Link ->

Note the threaded rod coming out of one end.
