It's not an ROV but I thought you might be interested in it.

I designed and built this submersible (NEMO 1) in 1963. It had a working depth of 1000-feet. The owner I built it for wanted to do deep water salvage. This is the best pic I have of it as all the original ones I had were lost in my boat sinking. This pic appeared in "Treasure" magazine January 1976 if you want to see the entire article. Mel Fisher and a man by the name of Dennis Standefer joined forces to use my submersible for treasure hunting.

Some facts about NEMO 1: Weight 10-tons, constructed of HY80 steel, crush depth 4000-feet, two man operation, 1 atmosphere inside. manipulators could lift 1000-pounds each, electric/hydraulic operation, cost to design and build $500,000.00.
