I have been researching this camp in North West Missouri for a couple days now and yesterday was the first opportunity I had to go out and see what treasures I could find. The area is now a corn field and it is on the side of a hill so detecting is very hard, luckily next year the farmer is putting in beans which should make detecting a lot easier.
After about 4 hours of detecting in scattered showers I was able to come out with 7 round balls. The other pictures are of a rock that I found that set my detector off and of a curious visitor I had while detecting (he didn't stick around very long).
If you want to read how I found this camp you can find an article I wrote about it at http://www.mymdforum.com/civilwarcamp.htm
