Well, I've had quite the CRH week. Went to Dayton, OH for work and did hit a few banks (about 10). It was completely picked over. There are some CRHers hitting that town hard. Every bank told me they had someone getting boxes/bags there. Only managed to get about $20 in halves -- all clad. Did get three Ike Dollars and a 1954 D nickel in change. My worst road trip ever... Oh well.

Got home on Thursday and my bank had a box of halves. Total skunk there too!!! Did get a super nice 1972D half easily MS-65+. So I kept that.

But, wait for it..... Got a bag of nickels and cents and my daughter and I finally got the final Jefferson we need to complete the set! A 1955 plain. Very exciting!!!! Probably have looked at over 100,000 nickels to finish the set.

In cents we got quite a bit of copper and our oldest wheat yet! A 1910, and it's in great shape! Easily VF or so. So, that made up for the other let downs. Thanks to all for your words of encouragement on the 1955. Got an order in for two boxes of halves next week from our supply bank that produces much better. Hoping to get a box like some of you have been scoring on here lately. Haven't had a great box since we got to Midwest. However, we have hit pretty nicely on a bag (over 70 silvers).

HSH to all!

55 nickel is a good score. I've found 2 ever. I'm still hoping to get a 50 someday, but I rarely search nickels anymore. Nice find there.

congratulations on the 1955 plain! I've done over 20 boxes of nickels and only got 4 of those 1955 plains.

Numismaniac,
Congratulations on that nickel! Hope the silver fairy visits soon! :laughing9:
Good luck my friend!
Steve
