Hey yall…we got out to the Iceberg for the first time in quite a while…the mosquitos were killer in the morning (throughout the whole day but mostly in the morning)…it was almost unbearable until Mirage met me later (he was in a different area) with some spray on him…and then the flies and bees started to get active…not to mention the thick, tall growth that summer is bringing and the humid, hot day to top it all off but still I can’t complain about the finds I guess…I spent the whole time in the “new wheat field”…and had a nice haul considering the circumstances of 46 wheats…along with a 1921? Buffalo, a 1920 coin from the Phillipines, 28 memorials, and part of a 14k watch. That was kinda cool to get.

So a pretty miserable day but at least there's signs that the stuff is still there.

It's hard to read, but at the top of the watch thing, it says "14k gold filled"...also a 1914 and 1918 wheat

Not sure how good the marble is. It was in a hole with a few wheats and a few memorials.

Holy cow Nate....46 wheaties :o ...there has to be some more silver hidin' in there  I bet you find it next trip. That's a great site. NICE gigs

Cool hunting Nate, pretty tuff to dig all those wheats and not a silver though that little bit of gold more than makes up for it. I think that foreign is Cuban and as usual sweet marble,HH...Shoot

And here I was all excited about breaking the 100 mark on the wheats for the year. :P Dang, that's a bunch of wheats for one hunt, Nate!!! :o Super finds! Congrats!

Nana :)

That was literally "The Wheat Field" . . . . 46 in one day is absolutely mind blowing. That would be the hunt of the year for me. Congratulations :)

Yea, it just gets a little old after a while when you're digging hole after hole and fighting the growth and theres no silver to be found...but I mean the wheats ARE wheats...I don't know anywhere else we could hunt and pull more than 10 wheats in one trip. And yea you might be right on the foreign coin, for some reason I assumed it was from the Phillipines. ???

Hey I know what you mean...it's all relative though...cause before the Berg, we were the same way...I dont remember exact numbers but yea...lol I know, it's still a lot of wheats.

I know, the wheat fields are crazy. In the original "wheat field", we had multiple days were each of us came home with 100+ wheats...Mirage pulled 135+ one day. Any of you guys could hunt there and dig those wheats ALLLLL day long. :P

Thanks for the comments all...there's clearly still good stuff to be found here...it's just taking a lot of time and work.

Thanks for the info Don.

The Iceberg is described throughout this thread: http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php/topic,52388.0.html
As far as any details as to its location or whatever, Dan would have to be the one to decide to disclose them.

It's quite possible that in the next year or so the location will be disclosed. Things are changing there and property lines are shifting and the permission I once received is possibly coming to an end.
It was a great run and STILL worth spending some time at. It's just...well....played a bit.
Between Myself, Bob and Nate we have put countless hours there and pulled more silver than you can shake a stick at.

Love the Cuban coin Nate. That area may need a bit more "clearing"

CONGRATS youre in a good area I"D hunt it again
