I found this object in a field. My first thought was Bridle Rosette, but it appears to be one piece of copper. Could it be some other form of horse tack or something completely different. I don’t think it is all that old as it’s stamped with letters and numbers. Any thoughts?

It’s the remains of 1936-41 Ford V8 flathead 60 bellows style thermostat. You can see where the bellows was originally soldered to the one side of it.ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1585169573.938842.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1585169584.706227.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1585171397.980443.jpg
