This is not a Recent find,
But I decided to put a New Flint in it &
Fill it with Fluid.
And it works Great.

Can anyone Date it by the Patent Numbers ?
Or at least tell me how old it Could
be at the Oldest ?

Thanks PBK & Nick

The Shape Does look Closest to the "FINE LINE" Design.

Square.

Re: Can you date this Ronson Lighter ?

It's Got all those Colors Like maybe there was a
Scene painted on it.

But the Green, I am almost sure is Tarnish

However it also Looks like it may have had a Plastic or Leather
Coating at one time like some of the others Pictured.
that has Rotted off
and it is now down to Metal.

It was Dug out of a Freshly Drained Lake Bottom
about 5 Years ago.

Jeff,
Do you collect these old lighters?

OD

I collect Everything I dig Up :D

But I do Like Usable Items like Lighters Best.

Here's a ZIPPO from 71

That I dug around the same time
& Had Repaired By ZIPPO

!LastScanzip.jpg

HEUBLEIN
ARROW
LIQUORS CO.

Which I don't remember Ever Finding out where they are From

And a Small 67 Also Repaired by ZIPPO
after Being Dug from the Lake.

Re: Can you date this Ronson Lighter ?

Jeff,

The reason I ask is I have a Ronson Queen Anne table lighter I found in an old garage some time ago . It was dated early 1950 but is sterling and it still works.

Big too Here is a photo

Re: Can you date this Ronson Lighter ?

WOW Cool Lighter OD

No I'm not a Buyer, But I sure would like
to Find one of them ;)

Re: Can you date this Ronson Lighter ?

Jeff: I haven't been around the stuff for awhile but Heublein and Arrow are both liquor brands. In the 70's Heublein distributed a cocktail in a can..stuff like harvey wallbanger, screwdriver, etc. and Arrow had liquors like triple sec, peppermint schnapps, etc. Believe I've seen Ronsons with The Land Of Skyblue Waters-Hamm's Beer painted on the side. Not your answers but maybe leads.

Dog. . . that lighter brings back HUGE memories from when I was a kid. . . my parents had one EXACTLY like it that they kept on the coffee table in the living room. My mother hated it because it was silver and she had to keep polishing it every month or so. I don't know what's become of it now though.

Re: Can you date this Ronson Lighter ?

Jeff,

Didn't post it to sell it, It is the only one I have that isn't a zippo.
Your Ronson brought it to mind.

Nick,
Have no idea what It weighs but it's empty now and it sure is heavy.

Watercolor,
Now that you mention it This one seems to drag up a 5 or 6 year old in my own mind.
But dimly as both my parents quit smoking when I was that age.

Re: Can you date this Ronson Lighter ?

These are all really amazing.
You guys find some terrific stuff.
Thanks for sharing.

Jeff,
That old Ronson is one I would enjoy seeing in person some day.
Really sent my memory tumbling.
Funny the things that can trigger those things.
Thankyou my friend.
Glad you found it.
Thanks again for the post.

Re: Can you date this Ronson Lighter ?

This is a cool thread; I like all the lighters. I wish I did not throw all of mine away that were given to me from relatives long ago.....

Hey there Old Dog,
My bro collects lighters and would probably love that old table lighter. Do you want to sell it? If so, how much? Thanks,
Baldingboy

Re: Can you date this Ronson Lighter ?

Baldingboy,

Please read my last post

No offence anyone , I didn't post it with a for sale sign.
Thanks anyway.

Now back to the thread ...
Jeff,
do you think there is any way you can recover the outside of yours?
It has sparked my interest , Sure hope we can figure out what it really looked like, when it was new.
