You know the Romba vacuum cleaners that scoot around your floors sucking up dirt? Well I had a bright idea!
An RombaDetector. One model for flat areas like parks. It scoots by itself in whatever pattern you select. One pattern to crisscross the area searching for signal groups. The when it returns to you, plug in the area as a grid and set the scan sweep for horizontal then vertical sweep.
And it would need to mark signals by strength. Maybe a rattle can of marker chalk or other can. CheezWiz aerosal could also be for lunch?
In rough terrain you'd have to figure out some better way. Maybe a helicopter toy that you could maneuver. That's completely up to you.
Let me know when you get something working and give me a heads-up. Would be fun!
