Got permission for a patch pasture but the plan didn't worked out. After trying to get plugs i could get back in without destroying the grass with no success i moved over to the other side of the fence into drilled stubble. With temps well into the 90s and a steady breeze i managed 4 hrs and got the main scatter done. I didn't did that site for two years and the farmer must made a good plough between. Loads of nails, lead and musket balls covered the signals. I knew when entering the field that a silver was waiting. I had to wait till i lost hope. After 4 hrs i quit and turned to the car, made my way over the rows i did before to pick up a larger frag of a roman roof tile i left as a turnaround marker. Carrying the spade, tile and detector i got another signal and gave it a try. Bang! I didn't know if it was because i was walking 90° to the rows i did before or if i just missed it before...I don't care when the silver turns up as long as it isn't the first signal. Most likely the kiss of death for the day....
Long story short....here's the pics!
