A friend took me to another "hunted out" field, this time roman...
I was not expecting much but after about one hour of a little lead and a bit of trash...
Silver popped out!!!! my first ever roman silver coin!!!!!!
Gordian III AR Antoninianus. IMP GORDIANVS PIVS FEL AVG, Radiate, draped & cuirassed bust right / AETERNITATI AVG, Sol, radiate, standing left (or facing, head left), holding globe and raising right hand.. RSC 41. 240-244 a.c.
After another hour I got a scrappy looking roman coin and that was all
great weather and a wonderful day
