Today the wind was very strong but we only had 1 small shower so all was well.

We spent 4 hours & finally completed to Northern boundry, as we expected there was very little up this top end. But at least we proved all the edges to this massive site. The spread is well over 15 acres, our largest by a long way.

Tudor Clothes Fastener
Tiny piece of Roman Bracelet

Neat finds!!!

I really like the Medieval buckle , and the Tudor clothes fastener - they each are so evocative of their period - Great stuff !

Never ceases to amaze the stuff you dig regularly.

Nice  Hope you pull some old hammered and some roman silver too.

Interesting indeed.....prolly just hooo-humm things for you to dig...but if we dug stuff like that from over on this side of the pond we would be freaking out.!!!

Love the buckle and coins. Great hunt there !

That's a lot of time at one site Cru, and you should now be quite confident that you've recovered just about everything you can. You should post a group shot of all that came from there. I'm sure it would be incredibly impressive. Good luck with your next site.

That we would! Can you imagine digging up something that old over here!

Great finds as usual Cru & dad! That was a lot of work and well done!

Lots of digging and well worth the effort! Good finish with a couple romans, a hammered and the buckle.
