Hallo Hunters...

This is my first post here and hope its in the right place for what im looking for... i live in Denmark and have recently found this Disc Brooch (In a Forrest) I´ve had some one tell me he's sure its silver, but probebly mixed with other alloys..? But with living in north Denmark (Århus) My first thought was ofcourse VIKING.. but after a looooong search on the Net, it seems to be more Roman in style than Viking.... It weighs around 55 grams and has a Lead filling on the Back side.. I took a Long time on cleaning it and hope it wasnt a bad thing to do ??

So the Big Q to all you Pro's out their ... What is it! Roman/Viking/Anglo saxon?

Det bedste af alt ville nok have været at sende det afsted til museet, helst inden rengøring, men hvis den er fundet i en statsskov, er det jo ikke nemt. But I think that cru is right on the money.
