As luck would have it for this time of year Cru'dad found the Roman Metal Working Site, not only available, but in nice cultivated condition. This was after driving many miles checking fields all across our Northern Territories.
I wish I could be out there with him, because this bonus field would have really boosted our totals.
This is 2 separate days; Saturday & yesterday (8 1/4 hrs total):
28 Scrappies (mostly small, as we have hammered this site over the years)
Iron Age (Celtic) Fibula (Brooch)
2 Roman Brooches (1 tiny Childs example)
Roman Tweezers
3 Roman Hob-Nails
2 Broken Hair Pins (Roman)
Bits.....
Last picture is all the Metal Working pieces, proving our theory of the sites use. This Archaeologically speaking is a very important site & we have proved with test pieces that they made 1st AD Roman Rings & were still producing 4th C Roman Military Horse Head Buckles (until my test piece, it was unknown where these types were produced)
