We spent 5 hours finishing gridding the field, but we will return if they plough in the Bean crop.

We still have no firm ID on the Geophysical Anomalies, but they are taking it very seriously. There is a small chance this site might become Scheduled & we would have to give up detecting it, but until then we will hammer it for more records/information.

8 Scrappies
1937 Sixpence
Jetton
1964 Racing Pigeon Ring
17th C Leather Mount
Roman Bracelet bit (Decor we have not had before)
2 bits from a 19th C Gunters Chain - nearly giving me a non-matching set, just need the No.2.

Also, just got off the phone with one of our land-owners who wants to put us in touch with the Archies that are working on land that is planned to be developed. He wants our thoughts after the Geo. survey they did.

It's gotta be satisfying to not only have the thrill of detecting that most of us enjoy , but to also be contributing to the historical understanding of your nation - that's not something most of us get to participate in .

All very exciting Cru. I'm rooting for you!

What would you date that ball button to? I find quite a lot of them.
Cheers

Thanks for the history lesson Cru.

I now know what a Gunters chain is. Those pieces you have are very cool!

Best of luck to you sir.

Nice assortment of digs Cru, hopefully you can teach the archies a thing or two :laughing7:
Only how to swing a detector, dig quickly & ID finds. Other wise it's a two way exchange.

Bean crop should be sown about march 15th. So not long!!! :hello:

Sweet finds, congratulations! :occasion14:

Heck of a week for you there. Congrats!
