It's not time to walk away from this field & we were pleased to see they had recently graded it down & make it nice & flat for us, at first we thought it was drilled, but it wasn't.
We continued the grid pattern for close to 4 hours & also tried the next door field where Cru'dad got his 4th hammered of the day!

4.5 hrs;

21 Scrappies
Iron Roman Locking Mech.
Roman Hob-nail
Roman Lead Steelyard Weight
Tiny bit of Roman Bracelet
1595 Lizzy Sixpence
Henry VI circa 1425 Half-Groat
Ed I Penny
Italian Soldino

Well Cru'dad hammered it today.
Well done.👍

awesome finds. in the last pic, the Ed 1 penny looks like an image of his skull due to the wear

Four silvers is an outstanding day! I bet You didn't stumble over Venetian Silver too often. Date matches to the half Groat....
Stunning, congrats!

A bunch of stunning relics and coins. Congratulations

I bet You didn't stumble over Venetian Silver too often.
Not often, but not rare either, had 1 a couple of weeks back.
The Venetian merchants/bankers lent huge amounts of money & these were nicknamed 'Galley Halfpennies', as the circulated in England as halfpennies & because each year several galleys came over full of them. So they are one of the more common foreign coins we find.

Now i remember you told about galley coins. Thanks!

Those hammered are stellar!!! Great finds....may more of your fields be graded down!

I'm heading over tonight to pillage your fields, so, how about taking a two week holiday until I get done! :laughing7:
