Dad & I started off in a 40 acre field we have never done, it had a pond in the middle so we thought it worth a try even though it came up blank on our research. After 1 hour 20 minutes (a large circuit of the field) we decided to cross it off the list. Our only finds being:
Tudor Book Clasp
Medieval? Coin Weight
Smashed Victorian Military Button

Moved to the nearby Roman/Iron Age Site for the last 2 hours 20 minutes:

9 Scrappies
1st C AD Fibula
Top of a Roman Nail Cleaner

Maybe tomorrow we will do better:sadsmiley:

not a bad field for me .... although the coins a little toasted , but the book clasp and other good things. :icon_thumright:

That was the main issue, all the coins were toasted, so maybe we will do a little better tomorrow.

The sticky mud is hard work right now, I would rather have it frozen.
