Roman Hill Top Field - Day 7 - FINISHED...

After 4.5 hours of gridding today we finished the rest of the unsearched field with still no hammered. However, it was worth it with lots of finds;

2 scrappies
Nice Medieval Buckle & pin
2 Jettons
2 Tudor Cloth Fasteners
18th C Clog Clasp
Medieval 'barrel' Mount
Watch Winder
1861 3 Pence
Victorian hand carved silver button clasp (forgot the name of these but they were fancy clip on buttons)
Dad got a very unusual Medieval Bird shaped piece, never seen one & it has no visible fittings.

Never seen such a clip on button before. Looking good! The other buttons are nice too. With all that buttons you get it rarely happens that so many nice ones turn up. Like to know what this bird shaped piece was for.
