Roman Handle ?

My brother john has just found this,it's bronze and is 3 inch long. The animal head looks a bit like a goat with curled horns. The field where he found it as produced Roman, Saxon, Viking and medieval. It may be an handle of some type, what do you think ?.

hello robert havn't seen you on here for a while!

it looks like a handle that would have a matching one on the other side of a (cup)?
the animal looks like a ram.

Hello shaun hope your finding, went to a rally recently just before I got there 25 gold staters were found. I saw a few of them, beautiful coins . My mate Steve got one the lucky sod !. It turned into a very boozey weekend. The pictures are of Steve, I'm much better looking.

Hello shaun hope your finding, went to a rally recently just before I got there 25 gold staters were found. I saw a few of them, beautiful coins . My mate Steve got one the lucky sod !. It turned into a very boozey weekend. The pictures are of Steve, I'm much better looking.




i'll bet he drinks carling black label!!

i might have to switch, the stella just isn't working for me ;D

Rob......I think I had better come to that field with you and help you find the rest of it ;D one of my mates got four of them staters, and he had to hand them over, are you at Masham this weekend? :thumbsup:

Was he the tall guy ?, were they all North East Coast types. I'm working this weekend so no detecting for me.

Yeah big lad...but I heard there were only thirteen found :icon_scratch: they were the North East Coat Type that's what I heard.

Maybe wrong but the whisper was 25.
