I was checking some coins out on ebay and came accross some roman coins listed. I see alot of them were dated from the early AD 200, 300 and some where even BC. I thought how cool it would be to own a coin from that time period. What surprised me were the extremly low prices sellers had on them. The prices were so low ...alot in this range( $4.00 to 20.00) it scared me into thinking that they might be repros. Why are they priced so cheap? Is it because there was a ton of them made, or maybe poor graphics or are there just alot of repros made that flooded the market. I collect arrowheads and their prices have been destoyed by repros that flooded the market. If they do make repros of roman coins how can you tell a real one from a fake?
