No worries, it's actually in better than average condition & with some careful cleaning on the reverse it will look pretty good (although without seeing it in person, I can only suggest leaving it as is). The condition & visibility of the entire Obverse legend made it a quick ID.
It would be an album coin in my terms & a good addition to your collection - CONGRATS (although having an Italian Uncle, I won't ask too many questions!)
