Who said that eight hours of hunting is better then four!! :laughing7:
Today left at 6.30(too late) had a coffe on my way, stoped the car near the area and began searching at 8.00. ( getting old)
Started with some scrappy coins but while going up the hill a very sweet sound was coming from 2000-1800 years ago. It was 9.30 and I was thinking of a big beer and a lot of toasts.

I wanted to pack the luggage and get back home but the coins were on the surface.

I made my mind and stayed for two other hours. It was worth it.
A big bronze medallion was screaming: pleeease, take me with you.P_20201023_160614_1.jpg

What a day!

Wow, do they allow tourists:laughing7: to detect where you are from? Asking for a friend

Once again very nice bunch of finds. Looks like the dry conditions kept that bronze Dolphin in really great condition - CONGRATS

Almost forgot to post the trash.
The two of them weight 71 gramm each.P_20201023_195148.jpg

Vince,
Did you find that big copper 5 'para' Ottoman coin (1255AH=1840) in the same area?
Don.........

Yes Don but I think it's a casualty. I've searched this area a few times and this is the only para that I have found.

Vince76,

Great hunt, you have been killing it lately- big congratulations. I echo Cru, the dolphin is outstanding. Thanks for sharing. Good luck with your hunts. Walt

Your finds always impress me....makes me want to go dig up an Indian or a war nickel....:laughing7:

Incredible finds once again...that dolphin is a work of art! :notworthy:

Fantastic to find a 2000 year old piece of art! What was it? Perhaps it was attached to something. Was it a stand-alone art figure?

Faint praise indeed Crusader when the bull/animal figure was on your top five list of finds.

Vince76 is making Banner worthy find virtually every trip out. Amazing!! I'm voting BANNER on the Roman dolphin! Congrats again Vince on another epic hunt!!

Thanks Walt! I've began searching this area three or four years ago. This was my luckiest day.

Thanks buddy! As mentioned before, I've been searching the area for about 4 years and my first posts on TNet were about those finds. I've been there under heavy rains and snow and windy days but I couldn't imagine that when I search hopeless i get the best!
