Roman and medieval

[Westfront]

Did two sites today, both are heavily hunted before, but still some goodies turn up. The first one has tons of roman bricks, tiles, pottery. I picked some roof tile fragments to show how they were laid. When cleaning the dirt of one of them two marks of fingers were visible where the tile was handled before burning. Metal finds were sparse, two bronze nails, one nice coin (not identfied) and a lead plug from a small oil(?)amphora.
Second site gave a medieval belt mout with some gilt left and a circular brooch.
Other finds were a tiny decorated button, a couple modern coins and a sight from a musket.
