Got out for about 30 minutes in the heat and went to one section of razed houses. I listened to all the other signals, but was just wanting to find a couple of old coins before heading to the AC. I finally got a small coinlike signal and saw a bit of band sticking out of the dirt. I realized that it was a watch so I worked the baked, hardened soil carefully and popped out this watch. After cleaning the face a bit I recognized the name and thought "You've got to be kidding. This can't be real!"
After cleaning the body a bit and seeing the metal peeling off, I knew it wasn't. But it was a nice feeling even for a short time.

Thanks everyone, it was a bit of a letdown but I'm not complaining. I knew a gentleman that found a real one. He tracked down the owner through the Rolex database. The owner told him to keep it as the ins. co. paid him for the loss and he didn't want to get caught with it and wind up getting charged with defrauding the ins. co.
